Description
This workshop teaches you how to write, edit, and review indexes in both print and online media. It will show how to find balance between theory and reality; it also covers page numbers and single-sourced hyperlinks, word choice and nonstandard sorting, subentries and related topics, usability, and deadlines. Learn about indexing tools and how to get the job done quickly. In the end you will be a better indexer and a better writer. Come with questions and horror stories, and exit with relevant techniques you need to improve your documentation indexes.
This class is taught on PCs. All participants should have a working knowledge of MS Windows prior to attending class.
